Follow-up

I haven't really updated about my physical healing in a while and, since I can't seem to sleep, I will attempt to do that.

Today was my final follow-up with neurosurgery.  They took a final set of x-rays of my neck, head, and back.  Things look good.  I'm completely free of the neck brace now, hard and soft.  I am also done with physical therapy for my neck and pelvis.  I had a check up with my regular doctor and he said things look good and I should be able to gradually get back into activities I was doing before.  The neuro doctor was very nice today and said that I look good to go.

I don't feel back to "normal" yet.  I still get pain in my left hip and even in my ribs sometimes.  My neck is still a little stiff sometimes.  But I'm super grateful that I can pick up my little boy, no matter how much he weighs now (he is up to 20.5 lbs).  We have been trying to get into better shape so Lawrence drags me out to walk as a family on his day off and I feel kinda sore after that, but I'm hopeful it will get better over time.  I've learned certain things that cause more pain in various places, so I tend to avoid those things when I can and I hope that, over time, these won't be problems either.

I'm still making bracelets.  I took a very special set up to Primary Children's last week.  The Wiberg family decided to take their sweet little girl off life support last Sunday, so I made a special trip up to deliver a set of bracelets for Telaai, her mom, and all three of her older sisters.  I only hope that the bracelets will bring them the kind of comfort that making them does me.

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers.  (sorry there's no pictures.)
