Memory

I've been trying to decide what I wanted to post on the Blog this week.  It's been about 2 weeks since my last post and we seem to get so many comments on how people have been inspired by this blog that I want to contribute to keep it going, so I will try and keep posting at least every other week.

Because it was Memorial Day last week I decided I wanted to share a memory of Ethne on this post; and with Edwards birthday coming up this month I have being thinking a lot of Ethne's first birthday.  It was a very special day.  The most memorable part was the birthday cake.  Whenever I have seen a child turning one and eating their cake they always jump in, tare it apart, smash it with their hands, and smear it into their mouth.  Ethne was a little more unique.  She actually picked up the entire piece of cake at once and tried to shove it all in her mouth.  She loved that Cake!

Her favorite food at that point was home made Chili, so that's what we ended up having for diner.  Basically we just let her run around in her diaper between the chili and the cake she made quite the mess.  While writing this I found a video that Melissa posted of her eating the cake so you can what I am talking about.

It was a great and special day for us and a memory I will never forget.  That is why I am sharing it now to help hold onto that memory.

What a fun day that was! I laughed, then I cried as I relived it. What precious, precious memories. I am so grateful to have them. Thanks for reminding me of that fun day.
