Seems like such a small number, maybe even a little insignificant, but we've recently learned how significant
one really can be. In
one day your life can change forever. In
one moment you can tell someone how much they mean to you. With
one word you can send someone out of your life. With
one decision you can change a life. Without
one nothing else would happen, you need
one to get started.
One person can change your whole world. Mr. Happy Pants is
one-year-old today and it has been
one heck of a year.
One
year ago today I was lying in a hospital bed anxiously awaiting the
arrival of my
one little boy. I was about to double my children with
the addition of just
one.
One year ago I never imagined that I would be where I am today.
One instant changed my world forever and left me with just
one of those two precious children. And I am so grateful to have my
one, no matter how much I long for two. This
one keeps me busy all day. I love this
one so much and I am so thankful that he made it to
one year. With all the happenings of the last few months I have definitely learned the importance of
one and I will never take it for grated again.
So here are some things about my
one one-year-old boy:
- As far as I'm concerned he is perpetually 18 pounds (at least until August) I need that one to stay at the front of his weight.
- He can stand by himself, not learning on a couch or anything, but as soon as he realizes he is he sits down.
- He loves to snuggle still
- He loves to play with his daddy, even if he doesn't really
understand how the game works. We know that one day he will and then we
will miss the days when he would just reach up for us and smile when he
should have been running away.
- He loves water. If he could play in the shower all day I think he would.
- Anything electronic is his favorite toy.
- He is one determined little boy, when he sees something he
wants he will stop at nothing until he gets it or throw a fit to tell
you how unhappy he is that he doesn't have it.
- He has recently decided that he wants to feed himself.
- He is a stair master, as long as you're going up.
- He loves to be outside, especially if he can play on the swings.
- He thinks he likes to brush his teeth, until you are actually doing it, then he's not so happy.
- He has 6 teeth.
- He likes to give high-fives, wave, and clap.
- He thinks it's all sorts of fun to play with the buttons on our blu-ray player or wii, especially to turn them off.
- The microwave is his latest discovery and every time he is up high
enough in the kitchen (mom or dad is holding him) he wants to touch the
buttons.
- He likes to sit and read books with mommy.
- He is trying to talk and mimics sounds and words really well, I think that daddy will be his first real word.
- He is a mama's boy, despite the previous statement.
- He is a little monkey and will climb anything if given the chance.
