Orthopedically speaking

Today I had my final visit with the orthopedist.  That's right, FINAL!  They tok yet another set of x-rays and the doc came in and told me that my pelvic fractures are completely healed!  I am so happy!  Thank you to so many who have been praying for my recovery, the prayers have helped and continue to help.  I have been getting around completely cane free since last Thursday and it feels great to have little independence back.  The doctor even told me that I can start wearing high heels again!  I am so excited, but I think I will probably wait until the neurology people clear me before I give them a go.  I had a wonderful orthopedist, he was so patient and spent as much time as I needed to get me all the answers I was looking for.  He even showed me all my x-rays from the beginning until now and looked at some other concerns I had.

Thank you all for your prayers, they really do help.  I still have a neck brace, but I will see the neurology people next Monday to *hopefully* get out of the hard collar and into a soft brace and get started on some therapy to make my neck strong again.  So cross your fingers, arms, legs, eyes, toes, and any other crossable and potentially lucky appendages for me and I will let you all know how it goes.

Oh, and come to find out... it was really 3 fractures in my pelvis.  Makes me even more grateful for the power of the priesthood and prayer.

Debbie stole my phrase :) So I will make a new one...Happy, Happy, Day!! We are all as much recipients of answers to prayers as you are. We are just so thrilled for you and know that your arms and legs are just getting more and more anxious to go chasing after Edward.
