Bedazzled

More prayers in my behalf have been answered and many thanks to all of you who crossed fingers and other appendages for me yesterday because it worked!  I am officially out of the wretched hard neck brace and in a soft one.  The soft one is much more comfortable and affords me more mobility.  It is also much more fashionable since my mom and I have bedazzled it.  The idea came while watching Dancing with the Stars and Melissa Gilbert (of Little House on the Prairie) was wearing a collar during rehearsal and her's was bedazzled.  So without any further ado, some pictures...

In addition to being released from my captivity in the hard neck brace I have been released to lift up to 20 pounds now!  Mr. smiley pants only weighs 18, so I can lift him and take care of him by myself now!!  Today we stayed home and he was so happy to be home with his mommy.  He followed me everywhere I went and was constantly asking to be picked up in his sweet little way and we played and cleaned and snuggled and played some more, and we were just happy to be together.  I am looking forward more days like today and to some physical therapy to make my neck strong and healthy again so I can be rid of my blinging accessory all together.
