Forgotten Tender Mercies

But behold, I, Nephi, will show unto you that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance” (1 Ne. 1:20).

I know there are many tender mercies which have surrounded this tragedy, but I felt I was missing some.

Tonight, I prayed that the Lord would remind me of some of those which I have missed. I went over to Melissa and Lawrence's apartment to grab a few things and while there their neighbor stopped by. As we were talking I was reminded of one of the tender mercies.

Just before Edward was born Melissa and Lawrence had packed the hospital bag and put it in the car. A few days later, still before Edward was born, their car was broken into and their cameras were stolen. It was frustrating. About a month or so later their neighbor from upstair came to their door and handed them their cameras. It turns out her son had taken them, she had figured out who they belonged to and returned them. I want to hug her. Eventually Melissa and Lawrence would have replaced the cameras, but it would have been a while as it was probably one of the last things on their list. By having her camera back she was able to take more pictures of Ethne and we have those pictures now.
