Memorial
Today we went to see Ethne's headstone. It was laid last Monday, but we took our parents and siblings that could make it to the cemetery today to see it for the first time. We bought balloons at the local Walmart and with the purchase of those balloons came a donation to Primary Children's Hospital. Each of us had one and we released them into the sky. One of my brothers so aptly said "Where will they go?"and when he was told they were going to Ethne he said "I think they will make it all the way to heaven." We left some flowers and balloons at her grave, shared some hugs and some tears, then we left.
The Herriman city cemetery is amazing. They have flags sponsored by members of the community lining the streets of the cemetery, not just little flags-- tall, regal flags that honor the many veterans buried there (sorry my thumb is in the picture). It was beautiful.
After the cemetery we went and made some bracelets to take to Primary Children's Hospital. We made matching bracelets for mommies and little girls so that mothers who lose daughters can have something to link them to their sweet angels.
There was a surprise for us at the cemetery and I would like to thank whoever left the little light for Ethne. It is a sweet gesture and we really appreciate that you thought of us. We also want to thank Warenski funeral home for their kindness and care. They have been so sweet and wonderful to us and they helped us create a perfect memorial for our little princess. Thank you Shaun!

Thank you for sharing...we have been so excited to see it! I love all the flags too! Wish we could have been there!
My heart aches. What a wonderful way to remember sweet Ethne. And how amazing that you reach out to others and make them those bracelets! That is such an amazing idea. Oh, I love you guys. :_ )
Next to the headstone and the people in the pictures, my favorite part is the flags, I noticed immediately that they weren't little flags, but your words described them perfectly tall regal flags. They help remind me of God and the love he has for us to create this amazing country we live in. Thanks for sharing
