1 Corinthians 13:4-5: Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easilyprovoked, thinketh no evil.
From the day of the accident until now, and I am sure far beyond today, I have been ever amazed at the kindness that has been shown by those who know and do not know Melissa and her family. There have been the strangers I will never be able to thank who helped Melissa even before EMS got to the accident. There was a woman at the hospital who when she found out what had happened gave Edward a hand-made quilt. People have donated prayers, time, and money to help Melissa, Lawrence, and Edward.
There have been people who took time out of their busy lives to support Melissa and Lawrence at the funeral. The faculty, staff, and students at APA who have gone above and beyond with their letters, notes, calls, e-mails, and donations buoying up Melissa. The sisters in Melissa's ward who have come to visit and help her out at home so she doesn't have to spend every minute with her boring mother when Lawrence is not there. The bake sale today which took not only time for those coordinating it, but people who came and bought a cookie or a plate of cookies, again to help Melissa and Lawrence.
I have learned so much from others about the charity that I need to have. I want to thank each person individually but can't so this is the best I can do by saying:
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for the love and caring you have shown my daughter and son-in-law through this very difficult time. I have learned from each of you what true charity is. I know in the future I will work harder to give the type of charity you have given Melissa and Lawrence.

There have been many times I have wanted to comment on a post, but could not find the words. This is one of those time. I now wonder how many others are sitting in silent reflection, as I am, and feel of the love and peace given to each of us through such selfless, charitable acts. There is truly no greater love.
I was trying to think of a way to post and shout Thank you from the rooftops -- So I will just add it here. :) There is so much goodness out there! All month long with every day that has passed, the thought just keeps coming, "This is what it is all about. Love." Love you all!
