Thank you for your email. On behalf of our project team, I apologize for loss in your family.  I appreciate your effort to reach out to our team so soon after Monday’s events.

I spoke with our Project Manager from Salt Lake County, Andrea Pullos, regarding your email.  I understand the County is also in receipt of your correspondence.  I have received quite a few emails from neighbors and family friends as well.

Our team has finalized a Corridor Study Report for SR-111. Included in that report, were recommendations for safety improvements at the Old Bingham Highway. The report suggests upgrading the intersection to include a traffic signal with an advanced warning device placed prior to the signal for northbound traffic approaching the intersection.

Representatives from West Jordan and South Jordan City staff have participated in our bi-monthly stakeholder meetings for the last year or so and understand the recommendations made in the report.  The Cities and SL County are united in their efforts to expedite the installation of  the traffic signal at this intersection.
